My Young Prince

I curated the presentation of the film project My Young Prince at Kyiv’s Chocolate House art centre. A teaser screening and Dmytro Komissarenko’s photography exhibition introduced its visual world through cinema, photography and fashion.

About the project

The presentation brought the film project into an exhibition setting, connecting its cinematic imagery with photography and visual art. The teaser and Dmytro Komissarenko’s accompanying exhibition introduced audiences to the project’s visual world. Andrii Siguntsov’s curatorial role concerned this presentation at the Chocolate House.

Directed by Khachatur Vasilyan and produced by Oleksiy Gladushevsky, My Young Prince explores identity, sexuality and relationships between teenagers and parents. Fashion and references to art history form part of its visual language. In his comments on the presentation, Siguntsov drew attention to the film’s allusions and the contrasting perspectives brought together within it.
