Artist

In my work, characters from popular culture, political symbols and social rituals encounter physical reality: pleasure, vulnerability, decay and death.

I work with performance, installation, video, digital imagery and textiles, combining the grotesque, irony and candour. My works can evoke attraction, revulsion, laughter or compassion — often at the same time. Desire, power and collective memory take tangible form in them, while familiar images challenge conventional notions of what is normal and acceptable.
